I believe that my teaching experience and continuous studies of music expanding over 20 years has made my caliber excel in some important aspects of teaching:
Good teaching starts with knowing what each student needs. I do not prescribe a standard teaching method/content indiscriminately. Tailor made teaching, individually selected resources and flexibility are exactly what private lessons are for.
Students are all sensitive persons like myself and building rapport with them is just as important as good teaching. People learn best when they like their teachers.
When it comes to learning piano for young, beginning learners, it is important to help them understand that it is a long process. It is therefore crucial that the teacher set constant short term goals of achievement which students find fun and motivating.
