Throughout my musical career, I have taken violin lessons for nineteen years with several teachers from all around the world. This has allowed me to immerse myself in a variety of teaching philosophies that have equipped me with a vast body of knowledge to guide students through the inherent technical and artistic challenges present in the process of learning the violin. Teaching a musical instrument requires an insightful and flexible approach, and my diverse education has prepared me to do that.
While I tailor my teaching approach to the individual needs of each student, there are some general elements I maintain with all my students. I, for example, strive to teach my students how to practice their instrument in the most effective and efficient way possible. I would generally deliver a combination of scales, etudes, and pieces to develop their technical and artistic skills in tandem. While I would give specific practice instructions covering how to practice certain technique elements and how often, I would be flexible to each student natural ability and I would adapt accordingly. At all costs, I would avoid to ask them to mindlessly repeat a piece from beginning to end, back and forth (unless the purpose is to run through the piece to check the general state of such a piece). I would work to keep their motivation high and to encourage creative practicing habits, in order to keep their interest and engagement.
I have attended the following schools earning the following degrees:
- University of Western Ontario - Doctor of Musical Arts
- Colorado State University - Master of Music
- Universidad Veracruzana - Bachelor of Music

Besides the degrees I have earned in Mexico, the United States, and Canada I have attended several music festivals all around the world. I have also been invited as a guest artist and faculty at the International Festival of Music at Loja, Ecuador in the years 2017 and 2018. I have also taken lessons with the members of the Gryphon Trio, the Borromeo String Quartet, and the Made in Canada Piano Quartet. I have worked with professional chamber music groups and orchestras in Mexico, the US, and Canada and I know what it takes to be part of one of these ensembles.
