I am a piano and music theory teacher in Surrey with more than 10 years teaching experience. I teach piano with passion, patience, and commitment so we can encourage your child to fully appreciate the beauty of music and sound. In every lesson my goal is to inspire the student and to guide them towards something that they themselves will love and discover. I always try to create a stress-free atmosphere to help students progress. So no matter your age and goal, everyone who loves music are welcome to join me.
I have attended the following schools earning the following degrees:
- Trinity Western University - Bachelor of Arts Major in Music
-Kwantlen Polytechnic University - Diploma in Music
- Royal Conservatory of Music - Grade 10 Piano
Carillon Music Festival, 2015 Grade 9 Student/Teacher Duet Class Gold Award
Carillon Music Festival, 2017 Junior Student/ Teacher Duet Class Gold Award
For beginners I always want to guide them and encourage all sorts of discovery, for serious students I can provide a good set of teaching program based on the Royal Conservatory syllabus to help them achieve their goals. Through years of teaching, I had students successfully passing auditions and accepted into universities, and others passing their Royal Conservatory of Music exams with honours and distinctions. My students also excel in music festivals and performances. Besides exams I also like to introduce pop songs, movie songs, jazz & blues, duets and more…for more variety of music taste and explore students' interest. I tend to give every student appropriate program based on their individual needs and interests.
