With many years of teaching experience, I firmly believe that everyone can learn to play an instrument, regardless of their initial musical inclination. Age is no obstacle, as I've successfully taught students as young as 3 and as mature as 86. My passion and patience shine through as I guide my students toward their goals, ensuring a joyful and fulfilling musical journey for each of them. Music is a universal language, and I'm honored to help my students discover its wonders and enrich their lives through its beauty and expression.
During the years 1971 to 1981, I had the privilege of attending both the United Conservatory of Music and the Royal Conservatory of Music, where I studied Accordion and Theory Rudiments and Harmony. I earned certificates from both schools, a testament to my dedication and passion for music.
Under the guidance of my principal teachers, Ms. Beverly Fess and Antonio Peruch, I received exceptional instruction from two incredible accordionists and teachers. Their mentorship played a pivotal role in shaping my musical journey and ultimately led me to discover my path as a teacher. I am immensely grateful for the valuable lessons and inspiration they provided me, and I am eager to pass on the same dedication and love for music to my own students.
Medal 1975 UCM Festival - First place Solo. 1978 First place in Teachers division for solo. My students received awards for solos and quartet.
Growing up surrounded by music lessons was truly an amazing experience for me. I had the opportunity to explore various instruments such as the Accordion, Piano, Organ, and Violin, and I also delved into the world of music theory. The journey was filled with numerous concerts, exciting festivals, and even a chance to showcase my talent on our local TV station Kiddie's on Camera! Music lessons played a significant role in shaping who I am today. They kept me grounded and provided me with a sense of confidence that has been invaluable throughout my life. As a music teacher, my deepest wish is to pass on this gift of confidence and love for music to every new student I have the privilege of teaching. It is my hope that through music, they too can find joy, self-assurance, and a passion that will stay with them forever.
