Music is first and foremost in my life, I believe it improves and diversifies one's learning and problem solving skills while familiarizing students with fundamental relationships and qualities of sound and nature. It is my prerogative to show students how to have fun playing music and how to play music with their friends while also focusing on showing them how to experience and later qualify harmony and rhythm in a way that is congruent with both classical and jazz musical education.
When students learn to experience music and share it with those around them it vastly improves their private and social lives. Students can expect patience, support, fun, and care in their experience and education. I'm offering flexible lesson plans that accommodate any age and experience to learn at a rate they enjoy.
I have studied Commercial Jazz and Music at Humber College for 3 years, Majoring on the Saxophone/Woodwinds. I have studied saxophone privately from age 13, focusing on areas of Tone Production, Technique, Equipment, the History of the Saxophone, Jazz Repertoire, Jazz Harmony, and Improvisation.
I have been performing at Venues in Hamilton since the age of 17 and consistently in bands with older, experienced and established musicians. I've had the pleasure of attending private lessons, master-classes, workshops, and ensembles led by some of the most established musicians in toronto including Larnell Lewis, Robbi Botos, Kirk McDonald, Alex Dean, etc. at Humber College.
