My teaching philosophy is rooted in equipping my students with the tools I've honed over the years for learning, dissecting, and presenting music. An organized, step-by-step methodology ensures we build upon essential fundamentals, preventing potential roadblocks in the future. I consistently instill in my students the belief that their potential knows no bounds, as long as they apply discipline, tenacity, and regular practice. This, coupled with a deep respect for the music we study and an enjoyable, relaxed lesson atmosphere, forms a winning formula for progress and achievement.
I hold a Bachelor of Music Degree with Honours as well as a Graduate Certificate with Honours, both from Humber College.
I started studying piano privately at the age of 2, and have been playing drums my entire life. After graduating from Humber College I resumed my teaching practice while touring internationally. In 2020 I returned to Humber College to study music composition with a focus on film scoring and video game composition.

I am a lifelong musician, having watched my father's band rehearsals at my house as a toddler, getting on the drums while they were on break. I started drum and piano lessons at the age of 3, and played professionally in bands all through my teens up until today. After graduating high school I started teaching drum set privately in 2009, before persuing post-secondary studies. Since completing my Bachelor of Music in 2016 I have toured extensively all over the globe as a session drummer and appeared on dozens of recordings from many studios, including CBC studios, Sirus XM studios as well as many from my own home studio. I have maintained a teaching practice throughout all of this and have recently shifted away from touring and towards a full-time teaching and composing practice. This wide array of experience and mastery of various fields allows me to tailor lessons to the individual student, making sure they can achieve and surpass their goals.
