My main goal is to make the process of learning easy, fun and effective.
- University of British Columbia - Bachelors of Music concentration in Saxophone
I completed my formal musical training at the University of British Columbia. I studied saxophone and played in various wind ensembles and jazz bands. Graduated with a 3.9 GPA. While obtaining my music degree at UBC, I studied jazz saxophone and piano at VCC with James Danderfer and Sharon Minemoto. I also played piano with the VCC Legacy Jazz Ensemble and the New Orleans Combo directed under James Danderfer. I’ve been teaching saxophone privately for 2+ years now and I’m looking forward to working with more students! I can all teach all types of genres. However, I mainly specialize in classical, jazz, r&b and hip-hop music. I teach in the Killarney/Champlain/Fraserview area. Student must be vaccinated for in-person lessons.
