I teach music theory and harmony, ear training, reading and writing along with classical piano repertoire to develop well rounded musical skills and instill love and understanding of musical language in students.
I am classically trained in piano performance with studies in Music Theory and Composition at Antonio Narino University and Philharmonic Cooperative School and Cartagena School of Arts and Music in Colombia, South America. I advanced my studies with pianist Pianist Ines Leyva Duran, a former pupil of Pianist Claudio Arrau, and I am currently a Piano Performance ARCT candidate at the Royal Conservatory of Music Toronto with Arsha Louise Nercessian.
I particularly enjoy playing and teaching Classical and Baroque repertoire, specifically voicing techniques in piano for two and three part inventions and fugues in Bach and themes and dynamics in classical sonata and sonatina forms.
