Music has played a big part of my life growing up. Since I was a child, I have been fascinated by the sounds and emotions that music can express. Having worked hard and studied with numerous fantastic teachers, I have got to experience travelling the world and working with numerous other musicians on various musical projects.
I believe to produce good music, one must firstly enjoy music. Happiness is the key to loving what you do, and as a result, positive results will follow. I like to guide my students on the fundamentals of music (rhythm, intonation, and sound) but I also want to help them enjoy practicing and give them tips on how to practice efficiently and make good use of their time. I want to show them that the process is more important than the product and that smart practice makes improvement.
I have performed with Shen Yun Performing Arts in the USA and toured the world with a world-class orchestra.
While in New York, I managed to get lessons with some great pedagogues from renowned colleges across the globe (julliard, etc.) such as David Fiedler, Dirk Van de Velden, Eugenia Choi, Li Fan, Chiachi Lin, Lara Lev, etc.
I have attended Western University and about to complete a bachelor of music in violin performance having studied with some great teachers such as Tom Wiebe and Lillian Scheirich.
