Teaching Philosophy

As a passionate music enthusiast and avid follower of the latest developments in voice science and peak performance, my thirst for knowledge is unending, and I eagerly share my expertise with my students. In my teaching approach, I create a nurturing and non-judgmental space for my students to grow organically, explore their capabilities, and discover what resonates with them.

I firmly believe in empowering both new and experienced singers to listen to their bodies, recognize the uniqueness of their instrument, and cultivate trust in themselves as they practice their skills. Seamlessly guiding them, I build upon their strengths and teach the essential body-mind-breath-voice connection, allowing them to use their entire being for singing and self-expression.

My focus is always on understanding the needs and aspirations of each student, leading them towards self-confidence and mastery of their voice. Through positive feedback and encouragement, I prompt them to find their own answers, fostering an environment where each lesson becomes an enjoyable experience that leaves them feeling good about themselves and their progress. Ultimately, my goal is to empower my students to become confident and skilled singers, embracing their unique journey of musical growth and self-discovery.

Musical Education

I am a graduate of Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts in Musical Art, with a qualification as a teacher and artist-vocalist (soloist). Before my formal education, I took private vocal lessons for several years and participated in a Choir, as well as performed with an Ensemble. As my passion for singing grew, I became the lead singer in a band, performed as part of a duo, and eventually embarked on a solo career, captivating audiences with my performances six days a week for an extended period. My journey in music has been both diverse and fulfilling, and I am excited to share my expertise and passion for singing with others!

Special Skills and Training

From the age of 5, I've pursued my dream of becoming a professional singer, and my journey has taken me to incredible places and opportunities around the world. While facing challenges, including losing my voice due to stress, I delved into understanding the intricacies of the human voice and how to restore it. This experience transformed me into a "voice geek," a breakthrough coach, and a healer, specializing in voice and trauma. Now, I approach voice training holistically, considering physical, psychological, and emotional aspects to help individuals express themselves authentically. I hold certifications in Emotional Freedom Techniques, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Inner Child work, and The Journey Method, enabling me to support others in their own transformative journeys. As a Mindset and Vocal Coach, I'm continuously expanding my expertise and currently pursuing certification with VIP (Vocology in Practice), connecting with fellow vocal coaches who share my passion. I'm also a lyricist, authoring a three-lingual book of inspirational poetry titled "Thousand Thoughts." In my coaching practice, I work energetically and intuitively, fostering conscious communication and positive intentions to empower my clients. Music has shaped my life in profound ways, and I'm dedicated to helping others discover their true voice and unleash their inner potential.

Policies

1. Cancellation Policy

Lessons not cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice are billable to the client and payable to the teacher. This does not of course apply to travel fees unless the notice is effectively given at the door and the teacher has travelled to the location.

2. Cessation (quitting) Policy

A client must provide a 2 lesson notice period to stop lessons. So a weekly student needs to give 2 weeks of notice, a biweekly student works out to 3 weeks notice and a twice weekly student works out to a week of notice.

3. Illness Policy

Lessons cancelled due to illness or extraordinary circumstances with less than 24 hours notice remain billable to the client and payable to the teacher.

BAH teachers are encouraged to offer a make-up lesson at a future date in the interest of client relations and general goodwill. This only makes sense as teaching a student with the flu for example, will ruin the rest of your week's employment.

No more than 2 lessons may be made up due to illness within a 60 day period.

4. Rescheduling Policy

Any lesson can be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice.

Summer Vacation and Extended Absence Policy

Clients may schedule longer absences for trips etc. 24 hours notice is required.

It is normal and typical for students and about 20% of our teachers to schedule a break in the summer. We do not enforce a notice period (see cessation of lessons) at the end of a long summer break.

5. Evaluation Period

There are no free trial lessons with Beethoven at Home but we do offer a 2 lesson evaluation period where it is easy to try out a teacher. There are no free lessons during the evaluation period and clients may choose to discontinue the lessons at any time by providing the required 24 hours notice. After the student's 3rd lesson the required 2 lesson notice period will apply (see cessation of lessons above).
