In my teaching philosophy, I believe that learning music should be a joyful and immersive experience. I strive to spark my students' interest and passion for music, making it an enjoyable journey for them. Together, we set clear goals and create a schedule to achieve those objectives while having fun along the way. Whether it's preparing for an RCM test, learning music from their favorite movies, or enhancing their university applications, I tailor the lessons to suit their individual aspirations.
For younger children, I recognize the importance of parental involvement in supporting their musical growth. With the right guidance and encouragement, I believe that personal involvement will be the key motivator in their musical learning. My aim is to nurture their love for music and help them find fulfillment in making and engaging with music.
In 2020, I achieved the RCM grade 10 piano diploma from the prestigious Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada. This accomplishment signifies that I have successfully mastered all the required material, including musical theory, counterpoint, history, and repertoire up to grade 10 level.
I am incredibly proud of this achievement, as it reflects my dedication and passion for music. The journey of reaching this milestone has been filled with learning and growth, and it has laid a strong foundation for my musical pursuits.
I am excited to continue my musical journey and explore new horizons. With the knowledge and skills gained through this diploma, I look forward to creating beautiful music and sharing my passion with others. Music has enriched my life in countless ways, and I am eager to spread its joy and beauty to the world.
In addition to my RCM diploma, I have gained valuable experience as a flutist in my school band for six years and have participated in vocal competitions. I also have solo performing experience in piano recitals and competitions, including the Calgary Performing Arts festival in 2019. These experiences have enriched my musical journey and shaped me into a well-rounded musician.
