Discipline is Key, but motivation is The Door. I believe that there are five essential elements that are conducive to learning. (1) The teacher's role is to act as a guide. (2) Students must have access to hands-on activities. (3) Students should be able to have choices and let their curiosity direct their learning. (4) Students need the opportunity to practice skills in a safe environment. (5) Technology must be incorporated into the school day. I aim to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and high expectations to the classroom each day. I believe that I owe it to students, as well as the community, to bring consistency, diligence, and warmth to my job in the hope that I can ultimately inspire and encourage such traits in the children as well.
I have attended the following music schools and universities:
- Berklee College Of Music Latin - Piano Performance
- National University Of Colombia / Program For Initiation in Music Arts
- Fernando Sor Audio & Music School / Singer-Songwriting Composition Studies
Furthermore I have attended piano masterclasses with Svieta Solodovnikova from Russia and a live masterclass with the renown pianist Lang Lang from China. Although my piano professors were strict in teaching me classical music, it is almost automatically I developed the ability to apply the perfect classical technique to any other music genre such as pop, funk, jazz etc. I was also part of the choir in the National university Of Colombia.
Honours in Songwriting Studies with an average career score of 4.5 / 5.0
Although formal education has been a deciding and crucial factor in any professional career, I would say that internet has become such a great tool to be able to achieve one's personal goals or objectives. For this reason, I proudly admit that my ear training, my voice, jazz and composition skills have been deeply rooted and enhanced in self-curiosity and online courses. Thanks to the current access to global information, I also have been able to record, produce, mix, and master music projects with excellent results and quality.
