Growing up , I was able to use music as my escape from a lot of adversity and bullying. I believe that it is the very thing that allowed me to express my feelings in a safe and healthy space. Music also helps me with daily tasks and offers motivation through raw emotion. In other words, music is what has allowed me to walk to the beat of my own drum.
Without music, I feel as though people would lose their sense of compassion and humanity. From the beat of the drum and energy from vocal tone, people can begin to understand one another on a deeper level.
Music practices patience, perseverance, culture and overall builds character.
My lessons would include tips of mindfulness including breathing techniques and proper warm ups to clear the mind and find one's true inner voice. I hope to provide a comfortable environment where my clients can experiment with their vocal abilities and musical styles without feeling embarrassed. I hope to offer performance assistance and bits of knowledge on musical theory as well for a more rounded educational experience.
I have attended the following schools:
NAIT - Diploma of Radio and Television Broadcasting
I have recieved First Class standing in the BA music program at MacEwan University during my first year. I am currently entering my third year out of four for a major in Recording and Production. Even though my main instrument are vocals, I have basic knowledge on piano and guitar as well. I studied music on and off growing up with lessons on guitar from the age of 10 and was mostly self taught in vocal training.
Jason Lang Scholarship during my first semester at MacEwan.
-Performed with YEG music -Auditioned for The Next Star -Currently in a band -Ability to connect with an audience -Currently obtaining a Major in Recording and Production -Have had lessons in guitar, piano, drums, and voice -Skills in songwriting and writing lyrics I spent a lot of my time trying to impersonate my favorite singers growing up in a vast variety of musical genres which allowed my to learn the importance of focusing a sound on different parts of the body in order to successfully accomplish a note and or tone. I started performing at the age of 5. Upon turning 18, my mother would take me out to karaoke bars in order to get rid of my stage fright. After graduating from the radio program at NAIT in 2020, I auditioned to get into MacEwan and am now going into the third year out of a four year degree.
