As a teacher, my goal is not only to make you better at drums but also (maybe more importantly) to make you fall in love with playing the drums, whether it is for yourself in your garage or for others on the scene. I will vary exercises and lesson plans depending on your needs, interests and passions. From coordination, musicality, reading and sight-reading, hand technique, play-along and everything in between, I will make sure you do not get bored! I have experience teaching private lessons and leading rhythm sections.
Let me know if you are interested. I can do lessons in French or English! Either at your place or online!
Hope we can get in touch soon! Drums don't wait ;-)
I am a very enthusiastic French drummer and teacher currently doing a BA in jazz performance on drums at McGill University.
I've been playing the drums since I was 6 and originally started with rock and pop. Since then, I have studied other styles like classical, reggae, brazilian and afro-cuban which I went to Cuba for and am now studying with Rodrigo Simoes (www.rodrigosimoes.ca). In 2021, I was selected to play with MusicFest's National Conn-Selmer Centerstage Jazz Band with which I won multiple awards such as "Ludwig Canadian Drummer of the Year" and "Dream Cymbals Big Band Drummer of the Year" (musicfest.ca/awards-scholarships/previous-awards-scholarships-recipients). Since then, I have been playing at local Montreal bars and venues in multiple bands and recording a bunch of tracks in professional studios at school.
