At the core of my teaching philosophy lies a profound passion for music that I aim to share with all of my students. Having dedicated over a decade to studying and embracing music as both an art and a science, I have come to realize its transformative power. Music awakens our entire brain, stimulating cognitive function and cultivating invaluable habits and patterns that can benefit us in any endeavor we choose to pursue. It enhances our mental agility and processing speed. With this understanding, I strive to engage students of all ages, whether children or adults, in music activities that foster creativity, discipline, adaptability, and collaborative teamwork. Through the medium of music, I aspire to unlock their potential and provide a joyful and enriching learning experience.
I started playing guitar when I was 12 years old and formed my first band at 14. I pursued my university education and earned the following degrees:
Universidad de las Americas - Bachelor's Degree in Music with a focus on musical production (I studied music and electric guitar under the Berklee Contemporary Music program). My guitar teacher was one of the greatest jazz players in Ecuador, so he had a keen eye for detail and high standards.
Additionally, I have basic knowledge of drums, bass, and everything related to live events.
Since then, I have been deeply involved in the world of music, exploring different facets and honing my skills on various instruments. My academic background and experience working with accomplished professionals have provided me with a strong foundation to offer quality instruction and meticulous attention to every musical aspect. I am excited to share my knowledge and passion for music with others and hope to be a positive influence on their own musical journeys.
