I've been playing the piano for over 30 years, and the decision by my parents to enroll me in piano lessons was the greatest gift they could have given me. This enduring skill and passion not only gave me the opportunity to perform in front of audiences, thereby boosting my confidence, but also to appreciate the finer things in life. The discipline involved in learning music—thinking before acting, problem-solving, and coping with stress—has shaped me into a thoughtful, patient, and considerate individual. My music teachers have been long-term mentors, and some of my best friendships were formed through music! There have been countless beautiful experiences on my musical journey, and I consider it a privilege to share the joy and fulfillment music offers with my students.
There are so many great things happened in my music journey, and I feel privileged to bring the joy and achievement to my fellow students.
I have attended the following schools earning the following degrees:
- University of Bristol, U.K. -Master of Arts (Music Composition for Film and Television)
- The Chinese University of Hong Kong- Bachelor of Arts (Music)
- Trinity College London - Licentiate of Trinity College London (LTCL Diploma) in Piano Recital
- The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) - G.8
My principal piano teachers included Charles Fok, XiGuang Cui and Francis Mo.
Certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding dedication, motivation and inspiring teaching from
Medici International Music Competition
I've been immersed in the world of piano since my early childhood, enthralled by the extraordinary lives and works of composers like Beethoven and Mozart. Their stories sparked in me a desire to compose, leading me to study music theory, harmony, and composition. Being both a composer and a pianist has enhanced my ability to analyze and interpret the intent behind composers' works. This deeper understanding allows me to thoughtfully and musically craft the piano pieces I play.
