Music has the power to heal, reflect, and give way to the imagination. Not to mention... playing an instrument is also FUN! I always used the flute as a form of therapy to ease anxiety, and my students can expect the same. I firmly believe that learning an instrument should be done in a low-stress environment, but I am certainly willing to increase expectations for more experienced students.
I hold a bachelor of music from Queen's University, which included a focus in flute performance and musical education.
I studied the flute from the age of 12 and fell in love with the instrument right away. I took private lessons from the age of 14 right up until the end of my degree, where I held various leadership positions in both the symphony orchestra and the wind ensemble. I now teach in the French catholic school board as a high school band teacher, providing me with ample experience with all sorts of instruments and student profiles.

I spent my late teen/early adulthood in summer music camps as a counselor and flute mentor, where I could share my love of music with younger campers. I now teach high school music and band, so my love for music never stops!
