Teaching music is about inspiring the student, setting small goals every week and helping people achieve their long term goals as well. Rather than taking a mundane approach, I want my lessons to be enjoyable while also being structured. With an emphasis on technique, rhythm, learning songs, and developing the student's ear, progress will be made each week. Rather than imposing my musical taste on the students, I like to find out what they are interested in and help them play what they want to play.
I have a DEC in Jazz Performance and Song Techniques from Vanier College. I also have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Jazz Performance from McGill University.
I also had a chance to partake in the Summer Workshop at Humber College on a full scholarship a few years ago.
My earliest musical memories began when I was a child. I would spend hours listening to my dad's record collection with him. This is where my love and passion for music began. Soon after I started taking private guitar lessons and since then I never looked back. I have been performing and teaching music for almost a decade now.
