I am flexible in my teaching approach and I carefully observe the student's learning process in order to come up with the best methods. I am open to different music styles, and I encourage the students to suggest the pieces they would like to learn.
I began my studies at University of Toronto in 1998 but I moved to Montreal after 2 years and completed my Bachelor and Artist Diploma (classical piano) at Concordia University. I later completed most of the courses offered by the Concordia Jazz department and have been playing jazz in my spare time ever since.
I have been playing jazz piano in a quartet for a couple of years on and off. I also took jazz vocal lessons at the McGill conservatory and occasionally participate in vocal jam nights. I had some students in the past who wanted to play pop songs and sing at the same time, so I was able to help them with that.
