As an educator, my fundamental belief is that curiosity is the cornerstone of learning. I am deeply committed to creating an environment where students feel empowered to explore, question, and discover. My teaching philosophy revolves around nurturing and fostering this innate curiosity within each student, inspiring them to become lifelong learners who are eager to delve deeper into the world around them.
First and foremost, I recognize that every student is unique, with their own interests, backgrounds, and learning styles. Therefore, I approach teaching with a student-centered mindset, tailoring my methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of my learners. By understanding and respecting the individuality of each student, I create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every voice is valued and heard.
I have an AFA in music from Marianopolis College, which included music theory, harmony, ear training, and performance classes in jazz guitar and music as a whole.
I am a passionate music student/educator specializing in Jazz, and offering expertise in subject I myself once found challenging when first studying and playing music. I began playing the guitar from the age of 14 as a hobby and quickly got eager to expand my knowledge and understanding of music. I began taking extra guitar and music theory lessons until I was able to audition as a college student in Marianopolis, where I could even further my horizons. Currently at the age of 22, I have graduated from Marianopolis college and have started my second semester in Concordia University where I am still pushing my boundaries in music and challenging myself by broadening my musical capabilities.
Dedicated to fostering a deep appreciation for music, I am committed to creating an engaging and dynamic learning environment that would inspire students to explore their musical potential. With a strong background in Jazz and a comprehensive understanding of music theory, I leverage my proficiency to develop curriculum and deliver comprehensive lessons that empower students to develop their musical abilities. Through an adaptable teaching style and strong interpersonal skills, I facilitate a supportive and collaborative learning atmosphere where students thrive. Committed to lifelong learning and staying abreast of industry trends, I continuously seek opportunities to expand my knowledge and enhance instructional strategies. As a highly motivated and dedicated music educator, I am eager to contribute my skills and passion to inspire and guide the next generation of musicians.
