My teaching philosophy is deeply rooted in fostering a profound love for music while developing technical proficiency and artistic expression in each student. I believe that every student is unique, and my approach is tailored to meet individual needs and goals, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging learning experience.
Student-Centered Learning: I prioritize understanding each student's strengths, weaknesses, and musical interests. This personalized approach allows me to create customized lesson plans that inspire and motivate, ensuring steady progress and sustained enthusiasm.
Holistic Development: My teaching extends beyond technical skills. I emphasize the importance of musical theory, history, and ear training to develop well-rounded musicians. I encourage students to explore various genres and styles, broadening their musical horizons and fostering a deeper appreciation for the art.
Technical Excellence and Artistic Expression: Mastery of technique is crucial, but equally important is the ability to convey emotion and tell a story through music. I focus on developing both aspects, guiding students to achieve technical precision while nurturing their interpretative abilities and personal expression.
Encouraging Critical Thinking and Creativity: I believe in cultivating an environment where students feel comfortable experimenting and expressing their creativity. I encourage critical thinking, helping students analyze and understand the music they play, fostering independent musicianship and problem-solving skills.
I have a MA in piano performance from Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. And last year I got my Doctor of Art from Srinakharinwirot University.
My teacher in China is Chenhui, who is the Dutch pianist and teaching in Utrecht Conservatory. In MA study duration, my teacher is Dr. Sten Lassmann, who is a Doctor of the Royal Academy of Music in the United Kingdom, and a signed artist with Taccata Classics.
