I would love the opportunity to work alongside students at any skill level to raise their confidence in and enjoyment of making music.
I feel most fulfilled when given the opportunity to connect with others about what makes music so impactful. I believe that everyone has the ability to learn when taught in a way that speaks to them, and everyone has an innate understanding of music that can be unlocked through the right teaching methods. I am passionate about sharing my love for music with others through meaningful connection, and my goal is for others to have as much fun and appreciation for music as I do.
I am in my fifth year of Jazz Piano at Ambrose University. This has also included classical training as well as music theory and pedagogy.
I have a deep appreciation for studio teaching, but I also spent my early years self-taught. I understand that different children have different needs and can adapt to their preference!
While jazz music is my specialty, I have spent the last 10 years in various ensembles, big bands, worship teams, pop groups, and solo performance. Each have taught me new and exciting ways of understanding the vast world of music!

Since my music career began, I have made it a focus to take every opportunity to learn new things from new people. I have taken private study lessons with industry professionals for both piano and composition. I have made YouTube videos that explain the broad-strokes of a technique with multiple visual and audio aides so that a wide variety of people can understand in a way that makes sense to them. I also have years of experience storytelling and teaching to children in a classroom setting.
