As a music educator, my mission is to ignite a lifelong passion for music in my students. I believe that music is not only a form of expression but a powerful tool for personal growth, creativity, and community. My teaching philosophy centers around creating an immersive and hands-on learning environment where students feel empowered to take risks, explore new ideas, and discover their unique voices.
I strive to balance technical skill development with creative freedom, guiding students through both structured lessons and open-ended projects. My role is to mentor, inspire, and equip them with the tools they need to succeed as musicians, whether they aim to perform, produce, or simply enjoy music on a deeper level. I also emphasize real-world applications, drawing on my experiences as a producer and mix engineer to teach the full scope of music-making—from conception to final production.
Ultimately, I believe that each student is an artist in their own right, and it’s my goal to help them realize their potential. By fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment, I hope to inspire a new generation of musicians who are not only technically skilled but deeply connected to their craft.
I took private lessons myself for years. Even after I first started teaching at age 14, I still kept up with lessons because I enjoyed them and it helped me become a better teacher. Most importantly I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music with a Master's Certificate in Writing and Producing Music. I have taught students from a very young age all the way up to students in their golden years. My curriculum reflects my professional approach to not just playing your instrument but how to utilize all the tools and processes needed to record music. As well as teaching how to play along with other musicians.
