I offer patient, structured, and engaging piano lessons that prioritise student goals and well-being. We’ll focus on building sound, musicality, and technique along with enjoyment of the instrument. As you build your skills, we’ll also delve deeper into music history, theory, and everything else between the lines!
I graduated with First-Class Honours BMus from the University of Auckland, New Zealand in classical piano. A recipient of the Anne Bellam Scholarship, I also achieved my Associate Trinity College London Diploma in 2019.
My university training has encompassed many diverse areas of music, including musical pedagogy. I have also had training in chamber music, accompaniment, sight-reading, orchestral piano and vocal coaching.
I was fortunate to participate in masterclasses in Switzerland and Poland with renowned artists Edith Fischer and Nikolai Demidenko. Currently, I study with Dr Jarred Dunn.

As a Chinese New-Zealander, I teach fluently in both English and Mandarin Chinese. I have also undertaken additional studies in a diverse range of instruments, including classical voice, violin, and percussion. I love working with singers, and have experience as a vocal coach with University of Auckland Opera Scenes, and répétiteur with New Zealand Opera. I’m also an excellent sight-reader—which I believe is a vital skill for students—and love to help my students improve in this regard. Sight-reading allows you to collaborate with your friends and play music together. Added bonus—you’ll learn faster too!
