Everyone needs music in their lives! Music is the key to improving your mental, emotional, physical health and well being. The skills and coordination developed from learning music is transferable to everything you do in your life. Music is all around us, as well as a part of us.
As your music teacher, I will have lessons that are fun, safe, and respectful. No matter the age, you can expect an environment where your teacher listens to what you want, and need. We will learn a lot together and enjoy the process.
Let’s make music together!
I have studied classical piano, as well as music theory, privately since I was five years old. I am currently continuing my piano studies at the University of Toronto, in my second year undergraduate degree. I have also studied the bass clarinet since I was thirteen years old, and am also participating in performance classes at the University of Toronto on this instrument. I have competed in provincial and national festivals on both the piano and bass clarinet, at high standards to both my private instructor and band program.
Received Gold at National Music Fest for three bands. (2023)
Received the Wind Ensemble Honour Student Distinction Award at the National Music Fest (2023)
Winnipeg Music Festival, winner of 2 classes. (2016 - 2017)

Recognized as a University of Toronto Scholar in the Faculty of Music, $7500.00 (2023)
Recipient of The Harald and Jean Bohne Scholarship, $3006.00 (2023)
Recipient of The Kristin and Robbie Schaldemose Memorial Award, $1500.00 (2023)
Recipient of The Nancy E. Hardy Music Education Entrance Scholarship, $1000.00 (2023)
I have taught students of all ages, from young children to grandparents. In my first year of teaching, I realized that every single one of my students have a different reason for being here, in a lesson with me. Every single one of my students had a different story on what music meant to them, and why they love it. As they bring their stories to me as well as all different types of music they wanted to learn, I got better at building a personal connection with each and every one of them, as well as every student I had in the future. This is an interpersonal skill I carry with me at all times. As I pursue my own musical journey too, I always make sure to take great consideration to each and every one of my students’ own perspective and journey to music as well.
