Music is self-expression. It allows us to explore our inner selves and express our thoughts and feelings in an indescribable way. Singing, in particular, is an incredibly personal instrument. Each singer has a unique voice and anatomy, and this individuality is celebrated in my classroom.
In my lessons, I provide a safe space for students to discover and nurture their own voice, helping them develop as artists. Together, we will build a strong technical foundation and musical knowledge in addition to essential skills such as discipline, patience, and a strong sense of self --skills that will serve them their whole lives.
I teach students of all ages and backgrounds in both voice and piano and in many cases, I help them learn how to self-accompany on different instruments like guitar, piano, and ukulele. Some have come to me believing they are completely tone deaf, and now they are performing for large audiences. My philosophy is simple: everyone can sing, and there is always a seat for everyone at the table.
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from McGill University and Grade 10 certifications in both voice and piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Most recently, I completed nine months of further studies in Paris, France, supported by a Canada Council grant, where I deepened my expertise in French vocal music.
My education and performance experience span France, Switzerland, and Canada, allowing me to approach teaching with a well-rounded artistic perspective. I am passionate about teaching all styles of music, particularly opera and classical, pop, and jazz.

Music has always been a central part of my life, but my path as a teacher has been shaped by a wide range of experiences. I grew up studying both voice and piano, earning my RCM Grade 10 certifications in both instruments. My love for classical music led me to study in Europe, where I immersed myself in French vocal tradition with a professor at the CNSM de Paris. Beyond performance, I have worked in artist management at Canadian record labels, where I gained a deep understanding of the music industry, from classical to contemporary genres like R&B and pop. This experience has influenced my teaching—I encourage students not only to develop strong technical foundations but also to explore creativity, expression, and storytelling through music. I have sung in festivals across Canada and Europe, including the Verbier Festival Atelier Lyrique in Switzerland, the Gstaad Vocal Academy and Festival, the Academy Françis Poulenc in France, and the Mozarteum University Academy in Salzburg. These experiences have refined my approach to vocal technique and artistry, and I bring this knowledge into my teaching in an accessible, engaging way. Whether working with young beginners or advanced students, I strive to make music both joyful and meaningful, drawing on my diverse background to support each student's unique journey.
