I don't care how you sound, or how you play. Heart and desire are the two most important qualities I look for in a student, and if I cannot find that, I'll search for it. I've known too many friends who gave up musical education because it wasn't suitable for their needs or ambitions. I strive to combat this attrition by actually providing students a place where they can learn to, or maintain a love for music. Of course I balance that against hard work and dedication too, but if the spark is not there in a student, I will take time to find that for them.
I will follow structured education plans, or I can take a flexible approach. For me, it is imperative to discuss with parents / family and students alike, what is the reason for the lessons, and why they want music in their life. I won't deny someone the opportunity to be a part of music, but I need to know how I can help you there.
I have attended the following schools:
- Trinity College Dublin - Bachelor in Music
- Royal Irish Academy - Senior Certificate Musical Theatre
- Royal Irish Academy - Grade 7 Pianoforte
Pedagogically, my experience comes from directing and managing Trinitones A Cappella (2019), teaching a diverse group of singers new material, to be performed all over Ireland, and the world. I gained further experience from the nuns of St. Angeles Music Academy, whom taught me piano, afforded me the opportunity to teach both voice and piano for total beginners to students seeking an accelerated education.
From 2013 - 2024, I have held a leading role in over 14 musicals and shows, including Les Mis (Enjolras), Mamma Mia (Sky), All Shook Up (Chad), Avenue Q (Nicky), Evita (Augustin Magaldi), Hairspray (Wilbur), Miss Saigon (John), Jesus Christ Superstar (Herod), Hucklebuck (Lead Singer).

I draw a lot of my performance from my own personal connection how music makes me feel, and how music physically sits with me. I am excited by music, and I love the opportunity to share it and enhance others appreciation for it. I don't come from an overly musical family, so this has left me to understand a lot of what music means to me personally, and with this, I have developed a deep appreciation for how to work with others to broaden their appreciate, and strengthen their participation.
