I guide students in discovering their own sound and style on the piano, encouraging creativity and self-expression. With a solid foundation in theory and technique, they gain the confidence and skills to explore music in unique and meaningful ways. I specialize in jazz and improvisation, and tailor each lesson to the student’s interests—whether that’s jazz, pop, or original compositions—so that making music stays fresh, inspiring, and genuinely enjoyable.
I have attended the following schools earning the following degrees/certificates:
- Concordia University - Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz Studies
- McGill University - Bachelor of Arts in Music and Psychology
- Berklee College of Music - Professional Certificate in Keyboard Skills
With a background in psychology, I strive to create a supportive environment where students can learn and grow in their own unique ways. I’ve also mentored students and led community music sessions that emphasize connection and creativity, making lessons a space where students feel comfortable and inspired to find their own voice. I perform regularly in a variety of settings—from cozy cafés and jazz bars to big bands and community centers. These diverse experiences keep my playing fresh and versatile, giving me real-world insights into improvisation, style, and collaboration. Performing live also teaches me to listen deeply and adapt quickly—skills I love sharing with my students to help them become confident, expressive musicians.
