Teaching is a partnership between the teacher and student. Every student has their own learning style that needs to be explored and catered to.
If one approach isn't working, then we find another that will! I don't believe in giving up on my students or when people say "I'm just not musical." It just means they haven't found the right learning strategy! I want to help you find the learning method that works best for you :)
I try to challenge my students while at the same time having fun during the lesson. I strive to find material that is both challenging and entertaining.
I prefer using things like CD play alongs, music from movies, games, as well as duets to help keep my students engaged with the songs they are learning.
Music is supposed to be fun! :)
I can assist with tests for school in both theory and playing. As well, I also do preparation for playing auditions that you might have for bands or colleges!
I prefer to think of my lessons as "musical hangouts!" We talk, we laugh and we learn!
Looking forward to hearing from you!
